MSI has been a pioneer in the world of Digital printing. We were one of the first "Durable Product Label" companies to acquire an HP Indigo Digital printer in 2001. Since this time Digital printing has grown to become approximately 30% of our overall business. Digital Printing offers several benefits to our customers:
1. High quality graphics printed as high as 1400 DPI. Overlays and nameplates look as though they have been printed in "High Definition"
2. Unlimited number of colors can be printed in one pass. Designers no longer have to worry about the cost of additional colors.

HP Indigo Digital Printing
One word describe the HP Indigo Digital printer. Phenomenal. This printer has expanded the world of Overlay, Nameplate and Label graphics.
Advantages and Benefits to Indigo Digital printing:
* Versatility: Top printing of polyester, vinyl and paper products as well as "sub-surface" printing of polycarbonates.
* Quality: 800 DPI print quality.
* Ability to print "Four Color Process" graphics on any of the above materials.
* Reduced pre-press. No longer do our artist have to modify your files with the necessary traps and bleeds like screen printing. Digital printing prints using perfect "butt registration" eliminating most of the pre-press operations.
* Unlimited number of colors printed in one pass.
* Can be combined with screen printing for Overlays requiring selective texture and transparent colored LCD displays.
* Quantities: Excellent for 1 prototype or a 1,000,000 piece production run.
* Lead-time: Less pre-press and less production time add up to one of the biggest benefits to the HP Indigo. Shorter lead-times so that you can get your product to market a head of the competition.

INK-Jet Digital Printing
Ink-jet digital technology is used for short run large format printing. Ink-jet technology is slower than the Indigo technology but actually has a higher print resolution. 1440 versus 800 DPI. The benefits to Ink-jet printing:
* 54" x 200" size format.
* Print resolution up to 1400 DPI.
* Excellent for large overlays and decals.
* 4+ years outdoor durability.

Digital Thermal Printing
The least expensive Digital printing process. Thermal printing is extremely easy and quick to set up so small quantities become very economical to produce. The benefits to this type of printing are:
1. Lead-times in as little as 24 hours.
2. Low cost.
3. Up to 600 DPI for excellent print quality.
Products produced:
1. 1-2 color information labels such as "warning and caution" labels.
2. Variable data labels such as serial and bar code labels.
3. Small polyester and vinyl prototype runs.
